we're so small...

It's not our choice, it's not theirs.
Earthquake in China, Sichuan.
12th May 2008.
Current death toll: 62,664

Is it our fault?
Did we make mother earth angry?
Is it our fault?
Is mother earth punishing us? for all our wrong deeds?

Thousands of lives, gone just like that.
Thousands of parents, lost their kids just like that.
Thousands of children, became orphans just like that.
Thousands of people, became homeless just like that.

It's so heart-breaking.

Just a couple of hours ago, i watched the charity show by mediacorp in the effort to raise funds for Sichuan's survivors. 让爱川流不息。
Pictures of those parents, children, rescuers, survivors, collasped buildings, debris......
There's no beautiful costumes, no dangerous acts, but with just words and songs.
All are heartfelt words, whether of those parents, or of those children.

Perhaps we wouldnt really understand how they felt, yet, everyone's trying to play a part in helping.
Let's all give them our condolences.
May those survivors live on courageously.
May those who lost their lives rest in peace.
May us all help in any way we could.
